Featured previously back in June 2012, Mike Mitchell makes his way back on to EK with more of his illustrations. Mitchell is currently based out of Los Angeles, California where he continues to pump out hilarious and fun illustrations that he is well-known for.

Currently based out of Brighton, UK, Richard Wilkinson is an illustrator who has worked for numerous clients, such as TIME Magazine, New Scientist, The Telegraph, Saatchi & Saatchi BBH, Random House, and Harper Collins among many others.

Mizenscen is an illustrator/digital collage artist based out of Los Angeles, CA who cuts & pastes obscure anatomic layers fused with flora in a vintage, classic touch.

Texas born illustrator AJ Frena uses both watercolor and digital art as the mediums to create work that blends nature with abstract.

We featured the work of  Montreal based artist Jonathan Bergeron aka Johnny Crap back in January 2011. Since that last feature,  his work has gotten out of control awesome. He's cranked out some sweet new series introducing new styles and groovy characters to his original repertoire.

I couldn't resist sharing the works of Mark Styling after coming across his body of work on the interwebs. Styling creates historically accurate illustrations of actual military aircraft that were in operation during WWII and the Korean War (B-17, B-24, B-26, B-29, PBY Catalinas among many others) including matching serial number or bureau number, aircraft number, unit markings, crew names and nose art with classic pin-up girls.

Steve Johnson is an illustrator based out of San Francisco. "One of my objectives as an artist is to bridge conflicting views by revealing shared concerns and common ground. The basic desire to find and maintain security, whether in a home, job, or relationship, in a forever shifting landscape, can create more losers than winners. Using a cast of chickadees, rats, and hummingbirds, my current work navigates the gray areas and middle grounds inhabited by animals with competing interests."

The wonderful Lora Zombie was featured way back in 2009 before the infamous server crash (commonly referred to as "BC 2009" - Before the Crash) that some of the original staff writers mention from time to time. Essentially "BC 2009" is when we lost a year's worth of posts due to a server overload from a sudden surge of visitors that brought it down unexpectedly. We love you guys too! And now since we've redesigned and relaunched our site (which we hope you guys like), we're finally bring back Ms. Zombie to share her work with everyone.

Black and white illustrations by Paris based artist Nicolas Delort, personify a classic illustrative style and the grandeur of the stories they tell. His somber illustrations have complemented some epic literary gems like American Gods and Harry Potter.

Kozue Kuroki is a Japanese illustrator that conjures up a surreal fantasy that reveals a dark side of an unusual fetishism. Yet at the same time, this fairytale world portrays soft, soothing elements of petite little girls living in a world of innocence. Sort of like Alice in Wonderland but more strangely beautiful.

Rosalie Kate Whittingham is an artist based out of Manchester, United Kingdom who is an illustrator and lingerie designer (according to her Behance profile). Whittingham's illustrations and drawings are light, delicate, and clean, only using color to accent and highlight specific sections of the piece.

Siyu Chen is a Chinese illustrator that studied in Beijing and New York City receiving her MFA at The School of Visual Arts. She works with both traditonal and digital mediums in her work that helps to create an interesting and unique surreal juxtaposition through her imagery. She is currently living in Germany working internationally designing books, magazines, and newspapers.

Roger Dean is a veteran English illustrator, designer, and architect best known for his work on posters and album covers that began in the Pink Floydian era. His visionary paintings often feature surreal-scapes in exotic psychedelic locations. The 'Retreat Pod' chair was designed by him and was featured in the film 'A Clockwork Orange'. This boss has sold more than sixty million copies world-wide.

Pennsylvania-native David Michael Bowers creates ethereal narrative settings with idiosyncratic characters that look straight out of old poetic literature.

Jeff Dillon is currently based out of Baltimore, Maryland where he continues to work as an illustrator and designer. Dillon uses a combination of traditional and digital techniques in his work to achieve the visual style that is present throughout his body of work.

This is the crazy, nasty, awesome, twist on aristocratic style of art that makes your brain hurt! Everything grotesque, bizarre and abstract about the work of Christian Rex Van Minnen, falls nothing short of spectacular.

Emile Morel is a French digital artist based out of Lyon, France who creates illustrations of surreal imaginary worlds.

Spiros Halaris is a London based Illustrator and Art Director that works in the field of fashion. He works with a variety of media often combining mixed media and digital aspects to various types of illustrations. The sophisticated yet sensitive way he uses his materials, playing with light and shadow in both color or black and white pieces, captures the pulse and style of the subject.

Christopher Alva is an artist currently based out of Athens, Georgia who creates figurative works of the female form.

TERBYWONDER is an artist currently based out of Vancouver, Canada who creates figurative drawings and illustrations. I feel like it's just as much of a challenge to create good "sketchbook art" as TERBYWONDER's as it is with any other art.
