Sandy Skoglund (Quincy, Massachusetts) is a photographer and a surreal installation artist. Skoglund creates imaginative sets and carefully places overwhelming amount of animals, objects as well as people. After studying in France, New York and Iowa she gathered her studies in filmmaking, multimedia art, printmaking and much more.

Canadian born artist, Todd McLellan's latest project 'Disassembly' consists of cameras, type-writers, clocks and other materials worth deconstructing. He lays out the heart, bones and flesh of an object and places them together meticulously.

Based out of Montréal, Canada, Julien Vallée is a graphic designer and art director who has been featured in numerous publications, such as Computer Arts, IdN and Gestalten's book Tangible. Vallée is one of those rare artists that does everything - literally everything...out of paper. Vallée has also exhibited internationally from Berlin (Germany), Zurich (Switzerland), London (UK), and Seoul (South Korea) just to name a few of the amazing cities around the world.

Hidemi Nishida is an architect and personally to me an environmental installationist. His neo-matrix surroundings is filled with plastic bubbles and a floating video projection that releases piquant noise. Japanese artist, Haruka Kojin's installation are 'contact lenses' created in various sizes, with a warped viewpoint. Through the collage of lens, flat pieces and con-caved surfaces are interconnected in varying sizes. This allows the viewers a contorted and flipped viewpoint that changes the experience of space. Haruka is currently being exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo.

Tomás Saraceno's latest installation 'Cloud Cities' is a multiverse that challenges the notions of space, place, future and gravity. The Argentinian artist based out of Germany and is currently being displayed at Hamburger Bahnhof, Germany. This project allows the viewer and the environmentally influenced world interact between the spiderwebbed, bubbled garden of the earth and skies.

Nick Georgiou is a sculptor that creates his body of work entirely through printed paper, newspaper and old books. The Tuscon, Arizona based artist's latest series 'Paper Elegies' is currently being exhibited at the Temple of Music and Art. Be sure to visit his website for much more work.

American Sculptor Herb Williams creates wildfire crayon sculptures, which is installed at the National Ranching Heritage Center in Lubbock, Texas. His series is called 'Unwanted Visitor: Portrait of Wildfire'.

Kelsey Brookes a former Bio Chemist turned psycho mad artist. Posted originally last year by Konahrtist but this time around Kelsey's style has changed. I'm not to sure if he's gone more psychedelic or toned it down a little. He's later work was concentrated on more silk-screens embellished with hyper intricate lines.

Czech artist David Cerny's latest permanent installation 'Metalmorphosis' stands 25 feet in Charlotte, North Carolina. This God-like modern water fountain consists of nearly 40 rotational plates weighing a total of 14 tons. A 24 hour live stream can be seen here.

Ofra Lapid is a photographer currently based out of Tel Aviv, Israel. Lapid has a keen obsession on decaying houses. Her series, 'Broken Houses', revolves around abandoned homes destroyed by weather or neglected by man. She finds images of damaged and abandoned homes on the internet, and then proceeds to make the model replicas of the houses based off the photos. She, then, photographs them again in her studio.

Tomokazu Hayakawa Architects occupied an open office space and integrated a collection of plants throughout. The Japanese Practice labeled this project 'Sude', a workspace seeking to create a naturally-flowing layout, where ultimately the plants organically define the space and desks are arranged accordingly.

Katsuyo Aoki is an artist originally hailing from Tokyo, Japan who creates magnificently detailed sculptural works of skulls out of porcelain...

The Garden Marathon is a London based event supported by the Serpentine Gallery. This is the 6th weekend long event, representing 50 international artists. A product of the creative encounter between the man-made and the natural, between order and disorder, the garden can offer productive metaphors for the interactions between human life and time, care, thought or space.

Robert Gligorov is an artist originally hailing from Kriva Palanca, Macedonia, however is currently based in Milan, Italy. Gligorov's work attempts to shock the viewer with each piece as it tantalizes the imagination, "awakening it from a state of lethargy." Gligorov creates very intriguing sculptural and installation pieces, as well as large prints of his photographic works.

JR flyposts large b/w photographic images in public locations in a manner which is similar to the built environment by the graffiti artist. He states that the street is "the largest art gallery in the world." originally starting out on the streets of Paris. He's been literally all over the map, also featured him several times on Empty Kingdom and he's made it to EK's Top 100. Check out the interview from TED below.
