Russian contemporary artist Andrei Molodkin uses crude oil, blood and pens in a viscous representation based on politics. He currently works out of Moscow and Paris, and is a veteran of the Russian Army, where he used to deliver oil in Serbia. Ultimately in the end, he raises a question on how the role of oil and recognizable religious symbols signifies ours stance in modern civilization. “It is such a f***ing crazy thing.” – Andrei Molodkin
