Behind The Scenes: REAL DOLL

So you had an extremely long day at work or school dealing with morons and idiots, and what’s the one thing that you just want to come home to? A REAL DOLL of course! Well, maybe not everyone, but there is a surprising high number of individuals who do since Abyss Creations (the company behind the REAL DOLL) are still pumping them out like hot cakes for roughly $7K USD a piece. That’s one hell of a doll. Did I mention that our fellow EK author Bunnyman loves cakes? What does that even mean? I don’t know.

Stephan Gladieu, a photographer based out of Paris, France, traveled to Abyss Creations, located out of San Marcos, California, USA, to take an exclusive behind-the-scenes look in the company that produces “the best in the world of dolls for love.”

Each REAL DOLL is produced by hand, and have been since start of production of these one-of-a-kind dolls in 1996. Since that time, the company has sold over 4,000 units. Each REAL DOLL takes almost a week to be completed.

Make up, skin pigments and powders are carefully applied by hand for each custom ordered REAL DOLL. What a job. It definitely beats being an EK author.

The REAL DOLLS also come in a selection of different facial expressions ranging from smiling to faces with eyes closed in elation. Let me not forget to mention the interchangeable wigs that are offered as well.

The real question is…is this a kind of girl that you can bring home to mom?
