Hailing from The People’s Republic of China, photographer Chen Jiagang’s work is visually beautiful. Juxtaposing the many different urban landscapes that span across China (from the cold and harsh backdrops of China’s industrious economic backbone to breathtaking mountains and rivers that could’ve inspired Confucius himself) with his attractive models dressed like characters who stepped out of Wong Kar Wai’s beautiful film 2046, Jiagang’s examines many of China’s ever-changing landscapes, both natural and man-made, through a mix of documentary, conceptual, and staged photography.
