Craig McPherson is well-known for his murals, paintings, and mezzotint engravings of New York City. He was born in Kansas, curated and lectured for the National Endowment for the Arts after college, was director of the Michigan Artrain, and then moved to New York in 1975 to develop his career as an artist. From 1985-1992, McPherson worked on a mural project commissioned by the American Express Company for their headquarters at the World Financial Center in lower Manhattan. His murals can be seen in the auditorium and main lobby.
