UK artist David Walker works specifically in portraiture using a multi-layered style with spray paint. Walker enforces a strict “no brush rule” when creating his portrait pieces whether it’s to be viewed in the streets or inside gallery walls.
Walker’s work has taken him all over the world down street alleys, backdoor neighborhoods, and then some. Perhaps, it more correct to say that it was Walker who has taken his art worldwide to be seen by the public’s eye. Nonetheless, I want to see one of Walker’s pieces before I die, and not in the gallery space, that’s for sure.
