Julia Tsao is truly inspiring. Her innovative projects and experiments are materializations, though they might not be perfect yet, of the creative ideas and solutions she has in her mind. Whenever you start thinking that your ideas are too out-there or unrealistic, just think of Tsao. She’s proof that projecting the concepts you have in mind is a necessary step and risk to take if you want to give your ideas any kind of chance of becoming a reality.
All that aside, Tsao caught my eye when I first watched a video of Nosaj Thing’s light show, a collaboration project she did with Adam Guzman. The fluidity of the patterns was a nice change from the constant flashing and beams of light rays you see in most light shows.
