Katarina Sokolova was born in Kiev, Ukraine and has taken classes in the batik and graphics departments at the Art Union of Painters of Ukraine since she was six years old. She graduated in 2002 and for the past nine years has been working as a computer graphics artist. She is also a regular author for a European magazine, ImagineFX, where she writes an instructional monthly column on digital painting.
