Unfortunately, at the time of writing up this post, artist Ludwig Drahosch’s personal site was not available. However, there was a German Wiki page! And EK’s rule of thumb: if an artist has a Wiki page, chances are they’re pretty legit. Well, that rule certainly remains true for Mr. Drahosch.

Drahosch essentially taught himself during 1986-1989 by closely observing the works of the Old Masters at the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, Austria where the artist is currently based. Drahosch’s figurative work is wonderful needless to say. He predominately uses muted earth-tones in his pieces, and at times, will push his work into abstraction depicting figures with multiple appendages and what not.
