Mati Karmin is an artist originally hailing from Tartu, Estonia. Karmin creates wonderful sculptural furniture pieces out of old marine mines found near Naissaar Island, which is situated in the Gulf of Finland. Everything from bed frames, fireplaces, aquariums to bathtubs, bar cabinets, chandeliers to wardrobes, leather-lined armchairs, toilets, and even baby carriages are made out of various marine mines that Karmin specifically picks out and develops in his studio.
