art blog - Paul White - empty kingdom

Previously featured in September 2012, Australian artist Paul White returns to EK announcing his current show, Time Travels at MiCK Gallery. In this new collection he created detailed pencil pieces that represent not only the ways we transport ourselves in time but how the objects that aid our journey, are also affected by time.

October 29th – November 24th

“So in this series I am taking imagery from different times and places to form more of a personal history or bio narrative, in a way mapping out a personal navigation of the world. Like the exploration of junkyards, by looking back at moments in time I am exploring memory and how place and time has shaped me.”
