Pedro Matos has a new show opening this Saturday at White Walls Gallery in S.F.

If you ever left your heart in San Francisco, say yeah.  Many people come here, end up falling in love, and missing us when they leave. The Bay Area is one of the most beautiful places to live in, and that’s a fact.  If you don’t agree let me bend your ear for a second.   The television and the fortune cookie was invented in S.F., which is the fourth richest city in the world.  Yes it’s true that Oakland is known as the “crime capital of the Bay Area,” but did you know it is also the most ethnically diverse city in the United States?  At least 100 different languages and dialects are spoken in Oakland.
Silicon Valley
was birthed here, so you can thank the Bay Area for oh, I don’t know… your entire waking life?  Apple, Google, Facebook, Ebay, Netflix, EA, Youtube… all Bay Area babies.  -And how could you live without all these crazy inventions?  -Actually it’d be pretty easy, because you could hike, ski, or surf here from the Bay too.  And you can be weird or gay as you want and nobody will lynch you.   How cool is that?  Oh yea, and a little site called Empty Kingdom was birthed here.  ‘Nuff said.

Wait, one more… San Francisco was originally named Yearba Buena, a Spanish name meaning “good herb” or “good grass.”   Those Spaniards know how to call it as they see it…  Now have I convinced you to come back to S.F. yet?

…and what the hell was I talking about originally?   Oh yea, Pedro Matos, featured twice here on EK.  His work is excelling into the future.  New show this weekend.  Check it out before you miss it.  Go.  Go go go!  (and come back.)
