Hi,
I am writing a photography essay on contextual studies and it’s based upon North Korea; as I want it to be relevant to today. It’s a deeply mysterious country, which is hidden from the rest of the world. These photographs are very inspiring for me, They peer in to the physcology of a secretive state. A state ruled by strict conduct, what seems like very little self expression, only collective projects aimed at appeasing their leader.

I was wondering if you know of any resources I could look at, that could probe North Korea in more depth. I have managed to find another photographer who has dealt with the escape from North Korea; Chien-Chi Chang.

Is there anyway I can contact Philippe Chancel? I would love to ask him about his feelings about North Korea.
