Collage artist Rafael Cronin scours through hundreds of magazines ranging from a variety of subjects in order to find images that “holds his attention long enough” to be used in his work. Cronin experiments with various combinations of images as he explores the theme of Man vs Nature.

“Whether it be architecture, clothing, or domestic interiors, I use these subjects to compare or contrast their relationship with the natural world. Additionally, the jarring perspectives and disproportionate scales formed by these collages produce certain aesthetic effects which can enhance the picture’s narrative/theme.”
