Residing in Santa Cruz, California, USA, Jim Denevan is an artist who physically creates temporary drawings and designs in sand and earth from all over the world that are slowly erased by waves, weather, and time.
In 2009, Denevan set the record for the largest art piece in the world measuring nine miles in circumference in Nevada, USA.
