From afar, South Korean artist Seung Mo Park’s portraits look like charcoal drawings, but in reality, they are wired stainless steel scrims. The artist composes and structures the steel as if they we’re paint. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe this is the first time I’ve got to experience portraits with this type of execution, and further more, they are technically sculptures. Brilliant and innovative.
