As two friends, Eddie and Mitch, move into their new apartment, they soon find out that their neighbors, Peter and Raymond, are alcoholics with a temper. So, they decide to bust out their recording equipment and capture every second of their raging conversations. What followed was one of the first “viral” underground tape-recordings that fashioned itself into a cultural phenomenon. After having been translated into comic books, referenced in films, and quoted continuously, director Matthew Bate documents this culmination of work into Shut Up Little Man! An Audio Misadventure. Premiering at Sundance 2011.
