Fuc#ing awsome!!!!! Even if these didn’t have well executed abstractness and no deeper meaning than simple portraits I would still love them! I love the photo-realistic nature of the forms accompanied by the roughness given by the mediums. It’s like the crystal clarity a glass plate photo has with the grain of 60′s high speed film. I usually compare abstract art to my favorite artist Salvador Dali but other than it being abstract in some ways I don’t think it fair to compare the two. I just think this work stands out so much on its own it needs no comparison. I find a lot of times when someone is comparing artists they are just showing off their knowledge of art when its not art they know it’s just knowing some famous painters names and what they liked to paint.
