Tiina Heiska is a painter based out of Helsinki, Finland. Her work was first featured on EK in January 2010 and we are happy to show you her new work, even more beautifully haunting! “Dissolving Girl”, “Silk Ribbons and Bows”, and “The Pond” are just a few of her more recent series that depict characters in dreamy, vague states of being, leaving the viewer to fill in the narrative gaps.
There is a sense of voyeurism in her work, as it is difficult to discern whether or not the subject is watching or being watched. Heiska is classically trained and she recently exhibited new works in a solo exhibition at Galerie Leger in Sweden.
