Walker is an abstract portrait of documentary-fiction by the reknown Tsai Ming-Liang (HELP ME EROS, THE WAYWARD CLOUD, GOODBYE, DRAGON INN).

Actor Lee Kang-Sheng (who has been in all of the director’s films) plays a monk who ever so slowly moves through the city of Hong Kong. All while holding a plastic bag in one hand, and some kind of burger in the other.

Walker is a standalone short, but is also included in the Beautiful omnibus, featuring other great films such as Kim Tae-Yong‘s YOU ARE MORE THAN BEAUTIFUL, Gu Changwei‘s LONG TOU, and Ann Hui‘s MY WAY.
